Refund Policy
Last updated July 27, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when and how OmniEV ("OmniEV," "we," or "us") issues refunds for charges made through the OmniEV charging network and our mobile and web applications (the "Service"). It applies to payments made with a credit or debit card.
1. How charges work
When you begin a charging session, we place a temporary pre-authorization hold on your card to confirm it is valid and has available funds. When the session ends, you are charged only for the energy delivered (priced per kilowatt-hour, which may vary by time of day) plus any applicable idle and service fees. The unused portion of the pre-authorization hold is released automatically by your bank, typically within a few business days.
2. Charges eligible for a refund
We will refund a charge in the following cases:
- Failed or incomplete sessions. If a session was charged but little or no energy was actually delivered — for example, the charger faulted or the session never started — you are entitled to a full or partial refund for the amount that does not correspond to energy received.
- Billing errors. If you were charged an incorrect amount (for example, the wrong rate or the wrong number of kilowatt-hours), we will correct the charge and refund the difference.
- Duplicate charges. If you were charged more than once for the same session, we will refund the duplicate.
- Unauthorized charges. If you believe a charge was made without your authorization, contact us right away and we will investigate and refund confirmed unauthorized charges.
3. Charges that are generally final
Because charging delivers a real-time service, completed sessions where energy was delivered as expected are generally non-refundable. Pre-authorization holds are not charges and are released automatically — they do not require a refund request. If a hold has not cleared after several business days, contact us and we will help.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@omniev.io or call (208) 391-3496 with your account email, the approximate date and time of the session, and the charger or station where it occurred. Please contact us within 60 days of the charge so we can locate the session and resolve it quickly.
5. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment processor. Once issued, refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not issue cash refunds and we cannot refund to a different card than the one originally charged.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a concern about a charge, we ask that you contact us first — we can usually resolve billing issues faster than a formal dispute. You retain all rights to dispute a charge with your card issuer.
